Dr. Mojica is an ophthalmologist and cornea specialist for the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at UTHealth Houston and at the LBJ County Hospital.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2007 from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, where she went on to complete her residency. She studied external disease and refractive surgery during her fellowship at the Phillips Eye Institute, which is affiliated with Minneapolis Veteran's Affairs Hospital.
Prior to joining UTHealth, Dr. Mojica served as an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She also worked at the Tennessee Valley Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Physicians at the Robert Cizik Eye Clinic engage referring physicians in the care of their patients, keeping them informed about patient progress throughout the evaluation and treatment process. After a patient’s treatment, referring physicians receive a summary and a plan for follow-up. Our physicians encourage continued communication about each patient.
