Orientation and Mobility Services

The Cizik Eye Clinic offers low vision patients the opportunity to work with an orientation and mobility therapist, who teaches patients how to safely and confidently navigate within their homes and communities. The specialist will help you learn how to climb stairs, step off curbs, access public transportation, and navigate crowded areas, among other tasks. The goal is to make sure you can maintain your day-to-day routine.

The orientation and mobility specialist will help you use any low vision aides, such as a cane, that your doctor has recommended. The sessions will provide practical skills to help you overcome challenges presented by low vision so that you can maintain your independence and the highest quality of life possible.

These services are not typically covered by insurance so please inquire about pricing.
